well, it all depends on what you like. I had a "sort of" trail rig, and i loved it. Drove a few dedicated crawlers, and enjoyed that too. Ask someone who does speed runs ,they might say no, ask a crawling guy, of course he says yes. Depends greatly on how diverse you are in the hobby. for me, i enjoy all of it- from heli's to boats, speed to a snails pace, off road, on road, drifting,- as long as i have a transmitter in my hand, i am happy.

i have four and it never gets old...i like the scale factor of it. i also crawl 1:1 so its in my blood anyway. i had always thought the going fast in a circle would get old too but now i am finding out that the onroad stuff is just as fun as offroad. its all in how much you love motorsports and how much you like to tinker and learn to make it progressive. if you go buy an rtr and never do anything but buy shelf parts and such i could see it getting boring. TEST YOURSELF!!!!

I've been in rc for so long now, but crawling brought back the enjoyment of building parts from scratch, and now with the kits available, i try to buy everyone that comes out and build them, for me it's the tinkering and building part that never gets old, i currently own 2 supers(built), 2 more supers(projects still), 2 ax-10, 2 tlt's, one hr motor on axle rig, and a bunch of scale/trail rigs.

They are certainly a unique aspect to the hobby. Definately puts design and strength to the test. Just like real crawlers. The amount of torque those things produce is amazing. I like my speed though, so I probably wouldn't be into it, but, like they say, "Don't knock it til ya try it"

I've run both, speed and crawling, I just love to see these things climb and look like the real thing doing it. I love my slash cause I can go fast take some corners and improve my driving skills in the process. but I like the scale looks and the fact that you get to make your own parts. so really it all depends on what you like to do. besides, the more the, merrier no?

Crawlers are the ultimate RC.
Don't need a pampered prepared track, or turn marshals, or pit crew, or drivers stand, or pit tables, or..............................................................

Scale crawlers are fun! Make scale parts, chassi's, bodie's and which become scale looken trucks.
