Just picked up a Mini T the other day with some goodies. Its sitting at home right now, but Im up at college Am hopefully going to put a Mamba system in it. Anyone have any good tips / ideas to toughen this thing up ? This is what it has so far: Aluminum threaded body oil filled shocks. Aluminum Tranny w/new gears, output yolks, bearings, motor plate(modded for BB), and spur set up (1 run). New 7.2 6 cell 2200mAh battery pack (3 cycles). Orion BB (1Run) New steering servo (1 run). Radio/Reciever/esc. New ProLine Dirt Hawgs on painted rims (1 run). Full bearings through out. Aluminum front tie bar. Aluminum front bumper.

wow crazy battery pack! They are fun, almost uncontrollable with any of the larger mamba motors. The new Desert Truck version has a longer chassis, I am sure that will help.

Those "weird" bigazz hump packs were the hot ticket ... for about a day and a half, but are really too heavy as well as being way top heavy --- go lipo if you want run time. If you go brushless don't go crazy and go for the fastest models, everyone does and is sorry, they're all but useless except for parking lot speed runs (4200 is similar to a mod stock motor, 5400 is fast enough, and the 6800 is warp speed-ish). Servo --- what kind did you get? Shocks --- it looks like you're set. Everyone I know has had trouble with the alloy tranny cases for some reason, they just seem to not run smoothly. I prefer the stock plastic case. Maybe you'll have better luck. Also, dump the alloy spur as they chew up pinions. As far as the outdrives I'd suggest swapping out for a good balldiff, MIP makes the best. A good set of CVDs is a good investment, MIPs are the best. Also look into getting a DD Slipper. I'd also suggest alloy steering knuckles and rear hubs, they're both kind of fragile. You probably already, or will soon, notice how sloppy the steering is --- I suggest getting an alloy bellcrank and crossbar kit. If you want to help the handling get a Losi Slider chassis, it's longer, and add a ProLine CrowdPleazer or JC Concepts illuzion RC18T body (it also allows you to run straight stick or side by side battery packs). Bumper? You really might want something wider to help protect the front end --- I use T-Bone Racing bumpers (lifetime guarantee). Can't tell if you have adjustable turnkuckles, but I'd suggest the Losi Titanium ones if you don't. Let me know if have any questions, or if I missed anything

Thanks for all the info, should be a fun little truck. I'll give it a good going over once I get it into my hands.

Should have gotten RC18 metal pinions
