Just wondering if anyone on here has a Tamiya Pre-Runner? (One of the pioneers to the trucks that are coming out now)  Specifications * drive 4WD shaftdrive, gear diff front and ball diff rear * suspension 4 Wheel double wishbones with coilover oilfilled shocks * chassis TA01/TA02 mix, ABS Bathtub * body lexan * motor RS540 * wheel base 250mm  Item #58161 (Still available)  Item #58146 (DISCONTINUED)  Item #58136 (DISCONTINUED) My Favorite, wish they would bring it back out. |

my friend had the s10, the snapped 3 chassis' doing jumps then got po'ed and threw it away. they broke just after the front bulk head

Not really. They were cool to look at, but were terrible to actually drive off-road. It was kind of silly having hundreds of dollars worth of trucks that I'd never use just sitting on a shelf. The Slash I have now was money much better spent. It can sit on the shelf and look cool as well as get raced every week. It may not be as scale looking as the Tamiya trucks, but the performance trade-off is worth it. |

Ah gotcha. I had one of the F-150 trucks and I thought it was a blast. Your right, it doesn't have the performance of the Slash, but was still a blast to drive. Taught you control lol.

just in case you want to know, I made the titanium brush guards / bumpers, the aluminum fake bead lock's rings, roll cages, and spare tire support bracket. I tried selling the brush guard in eBay, but no response.  |

I have 2 1/2 TA02's, the 1/2 of one will get the parts to be completed eventually. One I have was originally an S10 that I swapped dirt thrasher suspension on. Another is getting a Clodbuster body to be a scale/trail rig. The third one I don't know, but after seeing the Monster S10, I'm tempted to go somewhat stock and dress it up like that. TA02s don't get much love so it's good to see them here.

yep which is a shame, because they are a fun truck. Would be cool to see Tamiya update them with a new chassis, etc.

I have a TA02 that I used to race as a TC, but over 7 years ago, I pulled the limiters out of the shocks, put Tamiya rally blocks on it with a Lancer EVO IV body and made it a rally car. It's still complete and old school with a Novak 410 HPC and FM receiver, FRP shock towers, and other old parts.  |
