I raced up north in Iowa a couple weeks ago on a track designed for 1/8th scale truggies and buggies, there was three of us. It was alot of fun, especially trying to make the huge doubles and triples. And best of all mine didnt break, I did notice a shock cap getting loose but nothing broke, I seen a truck lose a shock cap. But if I race my Slash on that track again I defintely will try going brushless/Lipo. Oh yea the other 2 were running Lipo and I was running 6cell NiMH. I was in third through the heats but it started downpouring right before our A-main. Ain't it cool? You can fix the shock cap problem by getting the aluminum shock caps, or just going to full alloy shocks. I've found LiPO works better, and also helps with the heavy nature of these pigs. Sorry to hear about your main, but it still sounds as if you had a good time. Now CVR isn't talking about the Slash class now that the Slayer is out and the SC8 should be out soon. That's too bad. I'm really interested to hear what pans out after people find out the cost of the nitros, the SC8 is going for $669 + shipping at towers -- which to me seems a little pricey for people when considering adding an extra vehicle that doesn't really fit into any pre-exisiting classification.
