any idea on some new treads ? i know you can go 1/8 with new era adapters but they make the truck to narrow imo.

I was hoping Pro-Line would have had some out for us in August, but doesnt look like it. 1/8 scale tires are the only thing I know of right now for tire / wheel options.

Flat Irons are more of a rock crawling tire. The sidewall would be way to high and rub the fenders.
A guy on the BYT forums got them for his Stampede and was not impressed with their performance on higher speeds.
Something with a lower profile sidewall would be much better suited for your Slash.

What's the OD of the stock slash tire? Why not run geolanders, dirt works or dirt hawgs? It'll be wider than the stock tire but around the same diameter I'd guess?

Geo's, Dirt Works, and Dirt Hawg II's are all the correct diameter. Personally I still like my narrowed Dirt Works, they work better than the narrowed Dirt Hawg II's and the stock tires. They are not amazinly better, but they have a bit better traction. I have seen guys running Dirt Works tires on Pede wheels and they fit great. Kills the scale look though IMO. I'll stick with narrowed Dirt Works at all 4 corners.

If everyone's supposed to be into the whole scale-realism gig, why are so many of you looking for pin-tire options Kinda ruins the point of it all doesn't it?

I think Pro-Line needs to release a set of Flat Irons in Slash size, they would look pretty realistic, like the new BFG Muds.

I don't know why everyone's being so pissy about my pin tire comment, and giving me all this negative karma........... ;D ..... oh well............. LOL But yeah - some Flat Irons would be awesome, and still retain the scale realism that I thought the new CORR class was all about.
