I know it wouldnt be allowed in the "Spec" or "Stock" class, but to get some better grip on the track I am thinking of getting a set of these : www.neweramodels.com/item.cgi?session_id=&part_id=8538and using 1/8 buggy wheels / tires. A set of BowTies or CrimeFighters would give this thing alot more traction on slippery or dusty tracks. What do you guys think?

would work, but definatly would look funny. To bad there are not a lot of decent wheel choices

You think it would ? I bet 1/8 buggy tires / wheels are almost the same size. Probably a tad bit bigger. I'll have to put my Hyper 7's tires next to the Slash's and compare.

wheels just don't look as good IMHO as a truck wheel does. Probably great to race, but ...

I am sure they are working on them. Development takes time, and it didn't help that Traxxas kept it under wraps so no one knew it was coming... Give it time.

What tire do you think would work best with that setup for a hardpack track that gets very dusty on top? Was looking at the Proline Bowties, Badlands or Knuckles.

Badlands wouldn't work well at all. Bow ties or knuckles would be my choice.

Badlands wouldn't work well at all. Bow ties or knuckles would be my choice. I'm leaning to the Knuckles 'cause the still have that truck tire look to them. How do you make the wheels look less hideous?

Bow Ties or Crime Fighters would be a good choice for you I think.

I run a hard packed clay track with a dusty layer and the slash tires work okay. If you were going to do buggy tires I would suggest the Panthers Switch 2.0 as that is what everyone at our track runs.
