I used the RPM arms for the nitro rustler and the only shock mounting points were on the back of A-arm. Well this worked and actually helped the truck to be more stable on power. home.mchsi.com/~caeser720/100_0001.jpg

Haven't had any track time with it, damn work But in bashing around the rear end is more controllable especially under power. The dirt hawgs also are probably contributing as well.

how much flex is the tower getting ? The RPM shock towers flex a little but other wise is good.

I tried this with my STRC rear shock tower, blue RPM arms and Traxxas big bore shocks. I think the angle of the shock in regards to the shock tower was causing the piston to rub the wall of the shock body, making it "bind". It just seemed to get hung-up and wasn't smooth at all (for me). I ended up taking off the RPM arms and putting the shocks back to their stock locations. The other problem, for me, is the stock rear shock tower is offset towards the front, whereas the STRC aluminum piece is centered, so turning it around doesn't help me.
I'm contemplating drilling holes in my RPM arms (if I can keep the drill straight) so I can mount the shocks correctly.
