hello
my name is manuel henriques and i am from Portugal. i have a stock traxxas e-maxx and now i am thinking to get a traxxas slash.
is better than a rustler for the track? and can the stampede or other bigger wheels also fit on the slash for hard bashing too?
regards and congratulations for this forum!
it´s very cool!!

Hey, glad you found the site!
Its a different truck then the Rustler and will handle much differently on the track. Not sure you can really compare the two.
Like Xipton said, expect some rubbing. The stock Slash wheels and tires are narrower then regular 2.2 sized wheels.

thank´s to both answers!
for the many vids i have seen until now look´s a very cool and good truck and if it does to do good upgrades maybe will be my next choice... i have seen that to make my e-maxx competitive on the track together with nitros i will spent a lot... i guess that brushless in 1/8 scale is still expensive, and i have already 2 7 cells nimh´s pack´s and a 4s lipo, and a brushless combo to arrive so i have good basics for a truck like slash i think..
regards

4s would be too much if your talking about putting that in the Slash. The 7 cells would be the way to go

He'd be looking at 80k + rpm on a 5700 (which would destroy it) but if he went with a 2200kv he'd be around 35k which is still slower than a 5700 on 2S but it would have a better run time geared for the same speed. Not to mention stupid amounts of torque.
