Right on man!!!! Glad you like them. I think I'll stick with the kit shocks, they work great. No need to spend money if I don't need to. I do have a question for you guys. Had any trouble with the motor not getting air? Mine gets pretty hot, and I may put a fan directly above it or a heatsink. Wondering what heatsink may work. And I did get it pretty dirty yesterday. The ground in the backyard was still pretty soft and wet. Not this body though!

I'm using the heat sink off my sb4pro it just clips on to the motor . Im pretty sure you can get one from mrc/academy . The web site is www.modelrec.com and its the SB MOTOR HEATSINK Item # 98STT83 . It costs $ 7.50 . To find it just type sb motor heat sink in the search bar

Thanks.I was looking at those and some other novak and muchmore fans. Heatsink with the fan may be the best. Ift he fan conflicts with the radio box, then I can mount that up higher and integrate it with the tunnel cover to pull straight from oustside. will look cool too. Alain, who did the decals, has mounted a couple over the radio box. The problem may just be that radon motor with a 7 cell. I've had good luck with the motors, but in a lighter tc4 with the dual fans and duct. should've held on to those....

Track update. Made it out to the Hod Rod Hobbies track and took both this truck and the Slash.
I have a 19t spec and 21t motor on the way...couldn't wait.
Removed the 17t Radon, replaced with a spec 27T and used a cell battery. Top speeds were a bit better, with 7 cell, 27t motor, and a 21t pinion than the Slash with a 21t pinion and a 6 cell battery. But I do have to admit that I need to keep tweaking the suspension to get it around the track as well. My cornering is surprisingly equal but I suffer on the jumps, the pro-2 tends to nose down, so this is where driving habits need to be adjusted.
When I also used a 6 cell in the pro-2, the speeds were equal as well as power and traction off turns, but again the jumping was an issue. I did end up using 3000wt oil in the front and the 900 in the rear. The milder motor and fans have almost taken care of the overheating completely.
This won't be my last word on it, but for know I don't think it is ready to jump in and race the Slash on a standard track, but it might get there. It is absolutely a hell of a lot more fun though because of the way it drives. I'll keep at it...
And as far as the paint job...not in any way a tribute to Junior...Amp is my fav and there is something different on the track now, ...Jr has enough fans...
