shock towers roll cage bumpers wheels body
That seems to be all I need to convert my RC8. Probably right around $100-$150 worth of parts. Hopefully my 16mm shocks fit those new towers with no clearance issues.
Does anybody else agree that those beadlocks look real!?

Does anybody else agree that those beadlocks look real!? yeah, you're probably right - but I was reading somewhere else that they use the longer 8T chassis and you're right, the beadlocks do look real (that's why I threw in that latest pic) - but whether they're actually included on the production truck is another matter entirely

but I was reading somewhere else that they use the longer 8T chassis NOO! I didn't even take that into consideration...now that I look at it that way, the chassis is DEFINITELY longer than the buggy chassis and the track width is wider [look at the extension on the rear turnbuckle] ....gah.....that just added another $100 easy. Screw that...I'll buy another Slash ;D ...that thing is just an RC8T with new wheels and a roll cage. and they were too lazy to unscrew the front buggy body post from the top plate

I don't really wonder. I would bet tons of money that they DON'T hook up. Especially if that's a .28 in there.

I mean they know how the industry has its ups and downs, and that nitro has been headed into a lull for quite a time - the multi-versions of the MGT have been dust collectors on hobby shop shelves, and it took them over a year to get their RC8 to market, and even longer for the truggy...... and meanwhile the gas car market has taken a nosedive and then they bring this out with a bigbore nitro motor, lower-yet traction tires (though I bet the hook up like gangbusters on asphalt, and wear just as fast), and a questionalbe starting system? maybe it's just me, neat looking, but it just doesn't seem very well thought out (kinda like a stripper, everything seems great until you bring them home to introduce them to mama)

not to spam, but if you really want electric, you can wait for AE, do a conversion kit, or just buy a Caster SCORE.

I got rid if it because there still is no proof that the truck even exists yet. No pictures, nothing.

not sold on the caster truck ( wherever it is), or on this one. @ $600+, i can take my slash go BL, and aside form traction, hang with that truck. For less. I also agree with timing on this truck. Yes, CORR is where its at right now, FINALLY!, and Traxxas built the ultimate cash-cow. As we speak, Horizon, Great planes, and others are sold out of the Slash. For good reason.
AE missed the boat i think, and now that i think about it, not only did Losi miss the boat, but dropped the 14 yr old ball with the highroller!!! Pede competion, only 14 yrs too late.
Time will tell, i guess.
