they run fine. only downside of the design is the exposed gears. i like my vendetta better.

Yeah, I have one. Its guite fun and pretty tough. Its pretty easy to work on, but because its smaller, the parts are smaller as well as the hardware. And yeah, the gears are exposed, but the buggy body hugs the chassis pretty well. and the aftermarket had lots of hopups. Check out BeatYourTruck to see the RC18 build they did there. its pretty sweet.

Yeah they are a fun platform to run. Lots of options out there to mod it out as well.

The 8200 is too much motor unless you're just planning on speed runs.

5700 is plenty if you plan to race it. 8000k + is too much rpm and not much torque.

well i need it for a racing buggy... i need it too clear some pretty big jumps on the track... what size should i run? Depends on the track, 1/18th or 1/8th, but for I've had all the speed I've needed for offroad using a 5400 --- used a 6800 on ovals. 8000 and above were useless unless I wanted to do donuts or warpspeed runs across an open parking lot.

thanks for the help... what motor and esc would u recamend? that's an "basking robbins, what flavor should I get" kind of questions - they're all good, and have different pluses and minuses from brand to brand.

its a 1/8-1/10 track for nitro and electric I think you'll find that that track is too large, the jumps too big, and all but unmanagable for a micro/min scale truck.
